“We are here to scream out loud”
It is time for your vacation period, the day has come, you have chosen your destination, your car is foul of fuels and you are ready with your lady to begin your travel. But do not you think you have forgotten something? Oh yes, you must have the right music company during the path and the only album that fits absolutely for an occasion like yours is the new one from Outloud called Love Catastrophe. I am sure that your lady is going to appreciate it more than you can imagine!
Who could imagine that we would have the chance to listen to an album like Love Catastrophe in nowadays? Their first achievement We‘ll Rock You To Hell And Back Again two years ago was really good, but this new one covers any imperfections of their previous, is the absolute perfection. By the first song “We came here to rock” one thing is certain, that those guitars will be unable
to stop running like this and its chorus will get you at once at the atmosphere of a live performance of the band.
There is a rule in the music, in albums good or bad there are always songs which are described as non – resisting and this rule forces in here, just listen to the songs “Falling rain” and “Waiting for your love”. I really love these two songs, they will be your daily listening with those ethereal guitar melodies, you
hear Bob Katsionis and Tony Kash playing side by side and as a result you just begin singing every rhythm section. When it is time for the choruses you sing as loud as you can, but be careful because if you are discordant your lady will throw you out of the car in order to enjoy with pleasure on her own this cool voice of
Love Catastrophe is an album that it cannot be suggested without the necessary and suitable ballad. “Someday” is the most melodic song in the last 15 years and maybe more, its acoustic parts attracts you whether you are consistent with your dates on ballads or not. Attention: do not listen to this song while you are walking
alone out in the street, drinking a beer and thinking of your girl, because it is going to make you do crazy things. It is not a simple song, it expresses deep feelings.
Whatever you want to hear you can find it in here, if you want songs dynamites then “Live again” and “Underground” will satisfy you to the fullest. Catchy riffs and solos from two men who are playing harmonized. Mostly Bob Katsionis is regarded as the main man of this album not only because of his music, but also because he is responsible for this excellent production. The other members are just those musicians who without them this album would not have been created. Who does not like the drumming of Mark Cross with his bump “enceladus” as someone has mentioned.
The final song “Love catastrophe” will always reminds me of what made me love this album by the first listening, smart rhythm guitar sections and a wonderful solo following them. I believe that the spirit of Thin Lizzy lives somewhere in the album and Outloud make me happy because this style of hard/heavy sound has a future even if they are going to be the only band holding the reins.
Hey man, you driving this car, stop staring like this close your mouth and press “play” again because your lady awaits!
